The cards are dispatched separately and should arrive in the mail within 10 business days. Once you receive your fuel card, please check the vehicle and registration details on your card are correct. If not, please contact us to arrange replacement cards.
AMPOL
Your Ampol fuel card will be automatically activated the first time you use it in-store. Simply choose your 4-digit PIN when prompted at the terminal. Once activated, you can access the Ampol app for additional convenience. Simply download the app and add your card once it has been activated.
BP
Your BP Plus fuel card also requires a PIN, however this will arrive in the mail separately from your fuel card. You can download the BP Plus app, this is ready for use as soon as you receive an SMS notification from BP.
BUYING FUEL
With both fuel cards you have the option of either paying at the pump using the relevant app, or you can present your fuel card in-store. When paying using the app, please remember to open the app and check it is working before filling up your vehicle. You will be prompted to enter your odometer reading at time of transaction.
REWARDS
You can earn points with BP Rewards when you pay with your BP Plus fuel card.
You’ll have the choice to earn your points as BP Points or Qantas Points1.
Qantas Points can get you on your way to your next holiday, while BP Points are redeemable for BP purchases or David Jones eGift cards.
Please note, currently purchases made through the BP Plus app are unable to earn reward points.

Registering your carYour novated lease is registered in your name. It is your responsibility to ensure your car remains registered. Prior to your registration renewal date, we’ll send you a reminder with information regarding your 2 simple payment options:
Seeing as you’re already registered for the year ahead, just relax and when it’s time to re-register we’ll reach out with the details. When your renewal arrives from the Road Traffic Authority, please ensure all details are correct. If not, please reach out to the authority directly. |
Your vehicle must always have a valid Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance policy. Seeing as we’ve just set you up, sit back enjoy your novated lease and we’ll reach out when your insurance is up for renewal.
IF YOUR INSURANCE IS ARRANGED WITH SG FLEET
SG Fleet insurance is automatically renewed annually and paid for through your novated lease account each month. You will receive full renewal information annually so you can make an informed decision whether to continue your policy.

IF YOU ORGANISED YOUR COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE
It is your responsibility to ensure your car stays comprehensively insured. When your renewal falls due – please pay for the insurance through your chosen provider and then seek reimbursement via your Fleetintelligence portal. Refer to the 'making a claim' tab for how to make a reimbursement claim.

It is important you have a clear understanding of what to do in the event of an accident. Not only will this help you to make informed decisions at the scene of the accident, it will also ensure you cover your legal obligations.
Whether you have SG Fleet Insurance or you organised your own comprehensive insurance, here's a couple of tips and procedures you should do to ensure you are adequately covered for insurance claim purposes:
If your insurance is arranged with SG Fleet, please call us on 1300 138 235 and follow the prompts as soon as possible. You will be put through to the insurer to lodge a claim (during business hours) who will guide you through the claims process and arrange for your vehicle to be towed and repaired. Our After Hour service will also take limited details and provide assistance where required. Your details will be passed to the Insurer for completion of your claim. If your insurance is not arranged with SG Fleet, please call your insurer’s number. |
Should your public charging usage change and you begin to claim for more or less than your original budget allocation, please reach out to SG Fleet and we can organise a recosting to your budget accordingly.
In some instances, your novated lease account may become overspent (e.g. your actual running cost expenses exceed your monthly budgeted amount). If this continues to occur, we will contact you to arrange a re-costing of your novated lease budget.
This ensures that your novated lease budget is on track so we can process your reimbursement requests or pay for fuel expenses billed to your fuel cards, as well as ensuring that you won’t be left out of pocket at the end of your lease.
You can activate your online account 48 hours after notification of the activation of your new novated lease.
